How to add your own script to Répliq
Paste your script and Répliq finds every part and gives each one its own voice, ready to rehearse and to share with your cast. Here’s the whole thing, from copying the text to fixing a line.
Step by step
- 1
Copy your script’s text. From wherever it lives: a document, an email, a website.
- 2
Open Add Script. On the home screen, tap Add your script. Once you have a script, it’s Add another script, under your scripts.
- 3
Paste and import. Tap in the box, tap Paste, then Import Script.
A full-length play needs a Director subscription; without one, you can try a scene of up to 1,000 words, in total.
- 4
Let it prepare. Répliq finds every part and gives each one its own voice.
It takes a little while, and you can close the app while it works. It’s ready when the card shows its roles, lines and minutes.
- 5
Check it. Tap
on its card and scroll: every line sits under the character who says it. Choose role lists each part with its line count.Stage directions stay on the page; they aren’t read aloud.
- 6
Fix a line. If one came out wrong, or you want different words, double-tap it. The first time, tap Enable to turn editing on. Change the words and tap Save and close; for a line under the wrong character, pick the right one from the name at the top left of the editor.
The line is voiced again, and looks dimmed until its new take is ready.
Rehearse your own show
Paste your script, and every other part gets a voice; you can also try it on a scene of up to 1,000 words, free. Share it with your cast so everyone rehearses with the same voices.
