Terms of Service

1. Overview

Répliq ("the App") is a theater rehearsal app operated by Evgenii "Johnny" Slakva ("we", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service description

Répliq helps actors rehearse theater scripts. The App parses scripts using AI, generates character voices using text-to-speech (TTS) services, and runs hands-free rehearsal sessions with speech recognition.

3. Subscriptions

Rehearsing is free. Répliq charges only for preparing a play:

• Free — rehearse with the free plays in our catalog, and import and rehearse scripts shared with you by a director. The director features on a free scene: up to 1,000 words of your own scripts in total, counted as the words you paste. Each script prepared on the free scene can be edited, recast and shared for seven days after it is prepared; after that it stays in your library and rehearses as before, share codes already created for it keep working, and editing it or sharing it again requires a subscription. The free tier itself does not expire and is not a trial. Free-tier limits, including the free-scene word count, may change; a change does not affect words you have already used or scripts you have already prepared. No account and no payment required. Not a subscription: there is nothing to buy and nothing to cancel.
• Director, monthly — script pasting, AI parsing, voice casting, prosody editing, and sharing, for scripts of any length. Includes 25,000 words of AI voicing when you subscribe (once per subscription), plus 5,000 words at each monthly renewal.
• Director, annual — the same features. Includes 80,000 words of AI voicing at purchase and at each annual renewal.

Voicing is counted as the words actually voiced in a script (speaker names are not counted). Unused words carry over, up to a balance of 160,000 words; plan words that would take your balance past that are not added. If your subscription ends, unused words are removed from your account. Words we grant you on request are always added in full. If you need more than your plan includes, write to us at support@repliq.to — we may grant additional voicing on request, at our discretion.

Current pricing is shown in the App. Prices may vary by region.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and managed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

You do not need an account to subscribe. Signing in with Apple is required only to share a script you prepared. Without signing in, the scripts you prepare are held by your installation of the App and are lost if you delete it; your subscription is not, and can be restored from your Apple ID.

If your subscription lapses, content already downloaded to your device remains accessible, and you keep everything the free tier offers — the free plays in our catalog, importing scripts shared with you, rehearsal, and the director features on scripts you prepared within your free scene, for the seven days each one allows. Editing scripts you prepared beyond it requires an active subscription.

4. Fair use — voice generation

The Director plan includes AI script parsing and text-to-speech voice generation for personal rehearsal use. These features rely on third-party services with per-request costs, which is why voicing is the counted unit: the word allowances stated in section 3 are the stated allowance.

Once a script is voiced, regenerating a line, recasting a role and adjusting prosody do not count against your allowance again, and you may share a voiced script with as many casts as you like. Editing a script you have voiced is included. Rewriting a voiced script substantially into a different one counts as voicing a new script; if you need an exception, write to us.

We reserve the right to throttle or suspend voice generation for accounts whose usage significantly exceeds typical rehearsal patterns — for example, bulk generation of TTS audio unrelated to rehearsal, or automated submission of scripts.

If we need to limit your usage, we will notify you first and work with you to find a reasonable solution.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App or its generated audio for commercial purposes (e.g., selling or licensing TTS output).
• Submit scripts through automated means (bots, scripts, or other programmatic access).
• Redistribute generated audio outside of the App's built-in sharing features.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the service.

6. Your scripts

The scripts you paste into the App stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

When you paste or share a script, you confirm that you have the right to use it this way: to have it parsed and voiced, and to share it with the people you send it to. Plays in the public domain and scripts you wrote yourself are fine. Many licensed plays are not — a license to perform a show usually does not cover making digital copies of its script, so check yours before sharing one.

You give us permission to store, parse, voice and deliver your script, to provide the App to you and to the people you share it with. We do not publish it or sell it. The providers that parse and voice it for us handle it under their own terms. We keep copies only as our Privacy Policy describes.

If you send us a script and ask us to prepare it for you, the same applies: you confirm you have the right to it, and we use it only to set it up for you.

If someone makes a claim against us because of a script you uploaded or shared without the right to, you agree to cover the costs that claim causes us, including reasonable legal fees.

Generated audio is provided for rehearsal within the App.

7. Copyright complaints

We respect copyright and respond to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe a script in the App infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent:

Email is fastest. Your notice must include:

• the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
• the material you believe infringes it, and enough to let us find it — a share code, a share link, or the script's title as it appears in the App;
• your name, address, phone number and email address;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them;
• your physical or electronic signature.

When we receive a valid notice, we remove the script from our servers: its share codes stop working, and the copies of it that other accounts imported or copied through the App are removed as well. We tell the person who uploaded it. Copies already downloaded to someone's device are outside our reach.

Counter-notice. If your script was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you can send our agent a counter-notice containing: the material removed and the share code or title it had; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice; and your physical or electronic signature. We forward it to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days of receiving your counter-notice.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages under the DMCA.

Repeat infringers. We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright, in appropriate circumstances.

8. Service availability

We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Server features (parsing, voice generation, sharing) depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable. On-device rehearsal with previously downloaded content works offline.

9. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
