Terms of Service

1. Overview

Répliq ("the App") is a theater rehearsal app operated by Evgenii "Johnny" Slakva ("we", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service description

Répliq helps actors rehearse theater scripts. The App parses scripts using AI, generates character voices using text-to-speech (TTS) services, and runs hands-free rehearsal sessions with speech recognition.

3. Subscriptions

Rehearsing is free. Répliq charges only for preparing a play:

• Free — rehearse with the free plays in our catalog (no account required), and import and rehearse scripts shared with you by a director (requires signing in; no payment). Not a subscription: there is nothing to buy and nothing to cancel.
• Director, monthly — script pasting, AI parsing, voice casting, prosody editing, and sharing. Includes your welcome production (one per account), plus an additional production for every 6 months of subscription.
• Director, annual — the same features. Includes 3 AI-voiced productions per year.

Each script you have AI-voiced counts as one production. If you need more productions than your plan includes, write to us at support@repliq.to — we may grant additional productions on request, at our discretion.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and managed by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

If your subscription lapses, content already downloaded to your device remains accessible, and you keep everything the free tier offers — the free plays in our catalog, importing scripts shared with you, and rehearsal. The director features (AI parsing, voice generation, voice casting, prosody editing, and sharing) require an active subscription.

4. Fair use — voice generation

The Director plan includes AI script parsing and text-to-speech voice generation for personal rehearsal use. These features rely on third-party services with per-request costs, which is why voiced productions are the counted unit: the included counts stated in section 3 are the stated allowance.

Within a production you have voiced, regenerating a line, recasting a role and adjusting prosody are not separately limited, and you may share a voiced production with as many casts as you like.

We reserve the right to throttle or suspend voice generation for accounts whose usage significantly exceeds typical rehearsal patterns — for example, bulk generation of TTS audio unrelated to rehearsal, or automated submission of scripts.

If we need to limit your usage, we will notify you first and work with you to find a reasonable solution.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App or its generated audio for commercial purposes (e.g., selling or licensing TTS output).
• Submit scripts through automated means (bots, scripts, or other programmatic access).
• Redistribute generated audio outside of the App's built-in sharing features.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the service.

6. Content and intellectual property

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any script text you submit. We do not claim ownership of your scripts. Generated TTS audio is provided for personal rehearsal use within the App.

7. Service availability

We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Server features (parsing, voice generation, sharing) depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable. On-device rehearsal with previously downloaded content works offline.

8. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
